A black and white photo of Elberton E. "Bert" Courson, taken about 1942. Courson was the father of the donor. Courson was born and lived at 56 Jordan Avenue all of his life, dying in 1944 at the age of 53. He married Eleanor Brown and the couple had 2 daughters, Marjorie and Bertina (the donor). Courson ran a small college book store where a portion of the Brunswick First National Bank stood in 1987. He later ran a printing shop "up over" Morton by the railroad tracks and later from his home. Courson was the son of Arland and Margaret Courson.
N.B. The other 2 photos in this collection are of 58 Jordan Avenue, so either 56 is wrong or 58 is.
