F.C. Webb & Co. Parade Float, 150th Anniversary of BrunswickEntry/Object ID
1973.6.8Description
A sepia toned photo of Brunswick's 150th Anniversary Parade on an unidentified street. The photo shows three wagons (or parade floats). The first is labeled "F.C. Webb & Co." and is composed of a wagon pulled by two horses. The wagon appears to be carrying many boxes or tins of biscuits. The wagon behind this is pulled by one horse and seems to be carrying large barrels. The third wagon is too far away to be recognizable. According to the booklet published to commemorate this celebration, these floats were part of the 6th and 7th division (the last divisions) of the parade. This book (see Related, pg. 46) orders the floats as F.C. Webb, then Whitehouse Brothers, then the Topsham Flour Mills. Dated June 13,1889.Collection
