A sepia-toned photo of Felix A. Morais in uniform. Morais (1918-1981) was a member of the 240th Coast Guard Artillery, the National Guard unit stationed here in Brunswick. The unit left Brunswick the morning after World War II was declared. According to the donor's recollections, Morais married Mary Feeny of Portland and the couple moved to Berlin, New Hampshire where they raised 4 children. Morais's brother Gerard lived here in Brunswick and he also had 2 sisters (Lucy Theberge & Gilbert Earle). Morais may have been the son of Omar & Delia Morais (see the back of the photo).
