The first airplane to deliver mail to Brunswick landed on 6/12/1922 at the new Brunswick Aviation field off River Road near the golf course. Written on the back of the photo is, "Later in the day the plane ran into a fence on take off and eventually had to be disassembled and shipped to available source of repairs. Parts were non available in Brunswick and vicinity."
