Howard E. Strout was born in Maine in July 1846, the son of Merrill W. and Mary G. Strout. In 1850, the family lived in Poland, ME. In 1860 and 1870 they were in Brunswick, where Howard became a photographer. In 1871, he was a photographer in Woburn, MA, where he met and married Abbie E. Dimit on 13 Mar 1879. Their son Chauncey was born in Sep 1880. Sometime between 1883 and 1888 they moved their home and the photography studio to Brockton, MA. Photo not dated.
