Description

A B/W photograph of Isaac Rich's house at the end of Oakledge Road, built ca. 1797. Camp Eggemoggin - Catholic Services were held here in the summers. Isaac Rich had a large family when he came to Harpswell from Truro, Massachusetts. He is said to have planted the lilac by the door soon after the house was built. There was a ferry in front of the house - Indian Point to Trotter's Point, Georgetown, by order of Court of General Sessions.
