Description

A black and white photo of two unidentified people on horseback in front of the Lovell House, also known as the Dunning House, at 36 Pleasant Street, on the corner of said street and Union Street. According to the Historic Preservation Survey of this house, it is the earliest surviving landmark on the street, built sometime before 1802 (possibly 1774). It was originally owned by the Dunning family (Robert, then John A.) and more recently (since 1917 through at least 2003) was owned by the Lovell family.
