Description

Nancy Furrow fills an ice cream cone in a black and white photo that was published in The Times Record in Brunswick, Maine, on 8/29/1975. Furrow and her husband, Mayland, owners of the Topsham Dairy Queen, invited Governor James Longley and President Gerald Ford to stop for ice cream when Ford was scheduled to visit Maine on August 30. President Lyndon Johnson stopped at the Dairy Queen in 1966 and the Furrows hoped to add another president's name to the sign on their building that read, "LBJ Ate Here."
