An original watercolor titled "The Sunken Schooner Wharf" signed H.L. Varney (Helen) L. Varney, an art teacher who taught the donor. The painting shows a pier bait house & sailboat, brown rocks in the left foreground, pier in gray and shadowed green piling, sailboat in shaded red, black & gray with sails down. Shows steps leading down to the water with land in background and sky and water, as well as the tip of another sailboat on the other side of the pier. On the reverse of the painting is written "Old Wharf, Harpswell Center". Undated.
