Description

A color photograph of the Parker Cleaveland House, 75 Federal Street, Brunswick. A front view. A classic hip-roof square-plan Federal mansion. 1805-1806 to 1858 residence of Parker Cleaveland. Cleaveland was a Bowdoin professor and renown mineralogist. Peleg Chandler and family until 1951. Building is attributed to Samuel Melcher III. See 2005.34.18.a for negative.
