Description

Stowe-Titcomb House, restaurant and Inn in 1968. The house was built by S. Melcher III for the Rev. Benj. Titcomb in 1807. Harriet Beecher Stowe came with her husband Calvin in 1850. The Stowe family rented this house for the two years they lived in Brunswick: 1850-1852. House was later known as the Whitmore House. Taken 1968 by Cecil V. Rowland, Bath, ME.
