F.F. (Phil) joined the Perth Dinghy Club in the late 1920's and in the 1930's served for a record term of 10 years as Vice Commodore. Phil was appointed Commodore in 1951 and steered the Club through the difficult post-war period. After retiring as Commodore, Phil continued to serve the Club for many years as Starter and Timekeeeper. He was awarded Life Membership in 1948 and was made Patron in 1960. Phil was a family chemist for many years in the suburb of Inglewood and did much voluntary welfare work in that area.Notes
