Description

This book was published in 1834 by A.F. Robinson of Cincinnati. It is a history of the sufferings of primitive and protestant martyrs compiled by Amos Blanchard. It is in fairly good condition for its age and has an old leather binding and marbelized paper on the end sheets. The date "1846" is written on the inside of the front cover and there is an inscription on the flyleaf headed by the name of Capt. and Mrs. Richards 1846. Also the next page carries the name of James Greenly, Book of Martyrs, Bathurst, Ontario. It is well illustrated throughtout with small engravings in black line. There are two inscriptions inside the back pages of this book written in pencil and purple pencil. Below is the web address to view the book in its entirety.
