The face is painted with sprays of pink flowers and leaves in the four spandrel corners. The lower panel of the door is etched with a design of two birds perched on the sides of a working fountain. The entire picture is enclosed with frosted scrollwork. The clock has a pair of gold-leafed pilasters flanking each side. The enclosed rosewood panel at the bottom of the clock is curved in an ogee convex, concave curve. The door has a small brass turning knob and the original brass key still survives. The clock chimes the hour and has two winding holes in the face. The original paper still exists on the inside of the back panel. The clock was made by Chauncey Jerome, of New Haven Conneticut, and it is an eight day, thirty hour, O.G., & O.O.G. Gothic. It has directions for the regulation as well on the bottom of the sheet.
