This book was written/compiled by Charles Simmons. There is no date, the title pages and flyleaf are missing. The binding is intact together with spine, but it has come loose from the pages and been resewn latterly. The binding is of good leather and has a bit of fancy tooling, now barely discernable. The spine bears a dark leather label reading "Laconic Manual-Simmons". The name, "C. Greenly" is written in pencil on the upper right of the inside front cover. It is quite early, either late 18th century or very early 19th century.
This book once belonged to Mr. Robert Morris.
