Description

The frame of this chair is made of walnut and grained to resemble rosewood. The wood underneath the seat is pine. The chair folds up like a camp chair, and it is upholstered in Brussels weave carpeting, in shades of mustard, cream, brown and red. The remains of an original fringe hangs from the front of the seat. The chair is decorated with brass tacks that are situated along the top of the back rail. Seven tacks are also used on the upholstery. There are brass finials on the tops of two decorative knobs at the top of the chair and on the two side pieces at the front.
