Description

970.3.1 - Each candelabrum consist of 6 parts, a single candlestick into which a three branched holder fits, three individual decorated bobeches to catch the candle was drippings and a flame finial which fits into the centre socket if only two candles are required. The bases are round and decorated with an elaborate banding of a raised fruit and leaf design. The copper shows through on the flame finials, but not on the rest of the components as these have been re-silvered. Bases are covered with new gold felt which is removable for cleaning. Circa 1840. 970.3.1.2 - Is exacly the same as above.
