RS15 - Resource Book 15:
In 1816 it is with polite practice to introduce a book with an apology for its inadequacy or shortcomings. Reviving this quaint custom the gentle reader is warned that this is not a history of Perth; still less is it a tourist guide or propectus for municipal bonds.
On the contrary, it is a labour of love; the honest expression by many, in varied forms, of an affection for the fair town of Perth.
Much is omitted, much included, a discrimination dictated largely by the material available.
Each article, each picture, is selected for one purpose only; to reflect in some measure the life of the six generations who trod these streets beside these same green waters.
