Description

Mahogany arm chair, turned front legs, regency/classical curved rear legs. Has curved back rest, arms that curve at the front fitted into nicely turned front supports. The back is pegged into the side supports. The seat is a slip seat held on by a peg in the seat frame. There is a curved horizontal member to the back. This chair is in a trditional style, from late regency into the early Victorian. Circa 1825-1840. The seat has been recently upholstered in a pure wool tartan of the Matheson clan.
