The title is printed in gold towards the top right. The spine has the title outlined in black on the spine.
Old Description: This book has a red cloth hard cover decorated in black with a roundel depicting a family reading at at table, a pray of flowers and a bird in the lower right corner. It is divided into decorative areas and bears the information "Oliphant's family library" and the title in gold. On the inside cover it bears the lable of the upper scotch line sabbath school library, No. 6 and on the facing page it bears the lable of the Allans Mills Mechanics Institute Library, class R, no. 6. It was published in Edinburgh by Oliphant, Anderson & Ferrier and in London by Hamilton, Adam and Co. in 1882. It is a religious treatis on the memoirs of the Rev. Robert Murray M'Cheyne, minister of St. Peter's church, Dundee. There are many preserved maple leaves scattered throughout the book.
