Description

A)Rectangular shaped, corked clear glass bottle of dark burnt orange coloured liquid. Basal surface has raised lettering (see reverse) & is slightly indented. Body is rectangular with rounded corners, front-printed paper label (8 x 3.4cm) stained white with black lettering pasted over light brown label, rectangular cut corners (6x3.7cm) with handwritten "A" visible. Back raised lettering, almost fills back. Compound: Black Berry Brandy (label) for diarrhea, dysentery, cholera morbus, colic, cramp and all forms of summer complaints. Composition: Each teaspoonful contains wild strawberry plants, blackberry root, catechu, ginger, cassia, cloves, capsicum, guaniacol, and chloroform1-4min. with a menstrum of brandy alcohol and water Directions: For Adults, one to two teaspoonfuls, repeat every two hours if necessary. For children, twelve years one-half to one teaspoonful, ten years one half teasoonful, eight years twenty drops, five years fifteen drops two years ten drops, one year and under five drops dilluted with water Basal surface raised lettering "H.K.
