Description

An oblong oval shaped, underglazed blue transfer print, willow pattern, stoneware platter. The rim has a geometric floral border pattern with some cross-hatch decorations. The edge of the rim has four pairs of very slight indentations that define the rounded corners. The sides of the base have a geometric design incorporating lattice decorations. On the bottom printed in blue are the words "STRAFFORDSHIRE/WARRENTED/STONECHINA/BW3B". These words are printed above and within a design which incorporates an illustration of a crown and ribbon.
