987.6.8Description
A tin scoop that is modified oval in shape. The tin is relatively thick. The proximal end of the scoop is wider and deeper that the distal end. The handle is made from a strip of tin but is notable for the circle which is towards the distal end (front). This circle is a homogenous part of the handle. Within this circle is an offcentured, recessed circle with raised edges. The handle is attached to the scoop by a tin rivet. It the goes up and folds over, in an arch to form a 'half-heart' shape. It then comes down and is attached to the scoop by another tin rivet (above the first). The artifact is in good shape. The edges of the scoop are slightly bent, and there is some rust and tarnish present.Dimensions
