Description

A cast-iron cauldron which is used for all manner of cooking is round bellied and round-bottomed with four protruding lines around the belly. The cauldron has three flat channelled tapered stubby legs on one side (3.5cm x 1.6cm) which give it stability and enable it to stand in the fire. In the middle of the bottom under the cauldron is a protruding surface which has a concavity in the middle. A large letter "R" is stamped on the bottom near a leg. in addition, the cauldron is provided with two pointed ears (2cm x 4.4cm) near the rim by which they can be suspended over the hearth.
