The drawer is where the coffee was accumulated after grinding. Under the box is a 16 cm by 15.5. cm softwood base with a one-sided bevel. On top of the box is a cast iron base which is decorated with lumps along the edges and a flower at each corner. The castiron handle is, protruding to one side from the domed lid opposite from the semi-circular opening.
