17.1a - Whiskey Bottle - round, clear glass bottle, 30cm x 7.5cm in diameter. The neck of the bottle is 10cm and the body is 20cm. On either side of the neck are stuck the remains of blue and white excise stamps. On the front, at the bottom of the neck is a crescent-shaped white paper label printed with a single gold star in the centre.
In the centre of the body is pasted a white paper label, 8.9cm high by about 11cm wide, printed in gold and black ink.
Text of label reads: "McLAREN'S / BEAVER / ESTABLISHED 1841 / SCOTCH WHISKEY / JOHN A. McLAREN / DISTILLER / PERTH, ONTARIO."
At the bottom of the bottle is a red paper label, 2.2cm x about 11cm wide, with white text which reads: "THE OLD FASHIONED SMALL-STILL WHISKEY / SO CELEBRATED IN SCOTLAND----ETC" (5 lines of text).
17.1b - Cork - Bottle cork, 4cm x 2.2cm in diameter on side of cork, printed in black within an oval frame is: "JOHN A. McLAREN / DISTILLER / PERTH, ONT.".Dimensions
