997.70.3.1a - The candlestick bobêche (see 1. pg 33) is 6 cm in diameter by 3.1 cm in height, and is made of silver plate. On its flanged lip there is an applied silver floral design (undulate band). This floral design is different than that of the rest of the candlestick and different from the bobêche of its matching pair (997.70.3.1b + 997.70.3.2a), suggesting it is a replacement and not the original bobêche for this candlestick.
997.70.3.2a - same size and shape as 997.70.3.1a except the applied silver floral design (undulate band) is different than 997.70.3.1a bt the same as the 2 candlestick bases (997.70.3.1b + 997.70.3.2b).
997.70.3.1b + 997.70.3.2b - The candlesticks are made of silver plate. The socket of the candlestick has a flanged lip and an annular knob. Below the socket is a bladed knob with an applied silver floral design on the top of the knob. Then the candlestick is a simple neck cylindrical shape (7 cm) with an annular knob (same size as the one on the socket) and a rudimentary knob below it forming the shoulder. Below that is another bladed knob with an applied silver floral design. The base circular and stepped with a band of applied silver in a floral design (2 cm wide) near the top of the base.
