Drawing Room: The image depicts a vintage room with floral wallpaper, adorned with framed artwork, including a large portrait and landscape paintings. A chaise longue with ornate wooden details and a patterned fabric aligns with the right wall, while a polished wooden console table with decorative candlesticks stands to its left. To the side, a corner shelf holds various objects, adding to the room's antique ambiance. The hardwood floor shines beneath a small rug, and a partially visible doorway suggests the room's historical charm.

Description

Photo, black and white of the Drawing Room at Matheson House. Brown cardboard matte with a darker brown border around the picture. The picture was taken facing the door. The painting in the middle is Annabella Matheson, second wife of the Hon. Roderick Matheson. The other two paintings are landscapes. Below each painting are smaller photos of various people. In the corner is a five tiered stand with various artifacts. The table has two original (Matheson) candelabras and a covered bowl in the middle and beside the door is one of the original (Matheson) settees with a small rug in front. There appears to be a table in front of the door. It appears the room has been decorated after the building became the Perth Museum.
