The plate is made of off-white stoneware. The rim of the plate is slightly scalloped. There are embossed scalloped lines around the rim and brink of the brim (4 near the rim and 3 near the brink). Between the lines are embossed flowers (32 in total). On the centre of the plate there is a black coloured transfer print of a man and woman sitting outside, her arm on his shoulder. At the bottom of the transfer it says "Virginia Comforting Paul". There is a footring around the base. There is a transfer print on the base which says "PAUL and VIRGINIA." There is also a manufacture mark in the shape of a shield with "STONE WARE J. T." engraved inside.Made/Created
