997.70.2a - This is a colourless cut glass stopper. The finial is a rounded starburst/floral motif with ribbed (6) sides that go into panels on the neck and then there is a bladed knob that is paneled. The shank is tapered with a flat bottom. The finial and neck of the stopper are hollow.
997.70.2b - The decanter is made of colourless cut glass. It has a flanged lip (that is 6 cm in diameter); a long cylindrical neck that has a true octagonal horizontal shape; the base of the neck has a large ring that is a tapered true octagonal in shape; and the shoulder is 8 sloped down panels with rounded bottoms. The body is cylindrical with 8 cut recessed panels that start at the heel and go slighty above halfway up the body, the top of these panels are rounded. The heel is chamfered and has triangular cuts at the corners of the panels. The basal profile is flat with a vey shallow concave.Dimensions
