Description

Plate: This plate is from the dinner set of the late Dr. Alexander Thom, who was placed in medical charge of the Perth Military Settlement in 1815. It has an elaborate raised scalloped edge, and blue transfer design of flowers around the border and a romantic landscape with a fountain and two figures in early 19th century costume strolling with a pet dog and a child. Medium blue colour. c. 1830 Has a small chip on the back edge, no makers mark.
