This sheet music entitled, "The Rock Beside the Sea" was published in 1857 by Lee & Walker, 722 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia. It was written by Charlie C. Converse. It is in very good condition for its age. It is dedicated to Mrs. M. A. Ralston of Oakland Female Institute. The cover features a romantic black and white lithograph of a girl seated on a rock by the sea. The name "Mary C." appears in the upper right hand corner in pencil. This music originally belonged to Mary Campbell, Archibald M. Campbell's sister. Instrument: Piano
