Description

This very old pioneer broom has a wooden handle and a cornhusk bottom. This bottom is secured with rope. It was made and used by Robert Grinlay at his pioneer homestead, and the 5th concession of the Bathurst Township, Lanark County, Upper Canada. It dates from before the 1840's.
