Description

This book is bound inyellow leather elaborately stamped in gold arabesques. The title, "Dreamland" is barely discernable on the front cover. The endpapers are of maroon, yellow and blue marbelized paper. The fly leaf bears the written presentation: " This book is presented to the Perth Museum by Mrs. Maud Louise Crichton, daughter of Charles Mair, poet and author of Canada; June 12th 1935." The book itself was printed in Montreal by Dawson brothers and in London by Sampson Low, Son & Marston. It is dedicated to Mrs. William MacDougall of Ottawa and the preface is dated, Perth Ontario August 1st, 1868. The spine has become detached at front but the back cover is still attached to the pages.
