This is a cast iron double Crusie or Phoebe lamp. The crusie is a double pan (one on top the other) with a curved stem on the bottom pan. The stem end has a suspension loop and hanging hook.
The first circular pan is 10.2cm in diameter, 2cm high with a pointed lip of 3cm wide and 5.2cm long. On the other side of the pointed lip is a stem 5cm by 2.3cm slightly tapering down to 2cm with a rounded top. Attached to this stem is an oval piece (6.7cm x 4cm) with a slot (1.7cm by 0.5cm) in the middle with a stem (2.1cm x 3.5cm) on the wide part of the oval. The stem is rounded. the oval piece stem is rivetted twice behind the pan stem.
The bottom pan is circular with a painted lip on one end and on the oposite end is a long curved stem. The measurements of the pan are 9.7cm by 7.7cm by 2.7cm high. The pointed lip is 3cm by 5.5cm. The stem on the other side of the pan is 20cm long. 8.7cm up the stem is a notched rack 1.5cm by 3.5cm with 9 notches. One end of this stem that attaches to the pan is 2.3cm wide and tapers down to 1.2cm. At the tapered end of this stem is a circular hole. through this hole is a suspension loop. attached to this loop is a hanging hook with a twist design on the arm and a 4.5cm long rod running parallel with the arm at the start of the curve of the hook.
Condition:
The condition of the double crusie is fair. there is some metal corrosion of rust and sediment on the inside of both pans. On the top pan next to the pointed lip there is a patch on the side that has deteriorated. The bottom pan has a 1cm crack towards the back of the pan.
