The white earthware milk jug is a cupped shape with an added lip on the top. The jug is 13cm in height at the front and 12cm in height at the back. The top edge is round with slight curvatures. The top slopes inward for 3cm to a thin ridge before reaching the main cup of the jug. The main cup of the jug curves outwards in a bell like shape. Embossed, around the base of the milking is a border wich has daisies and in between each set of daisies are 3 leaf clovers and sets of 3 berries. The handle is a half-heart shape with a leaf like base attachement. The base is 6.5cm wide with a lip that is approximately 0.5cm wide. There is a manufacturer's mark on the base with W.H. GEINDLEY & CO. ENGLAND written on the bottom with the royal arms and ROYAL UNDERSTONE CHINA written over top of the royal arms.Made/Created
