The plate is made of off-white stoneware. The rim of the plate is slightly scalloped. There are embossed scalloped lines around the rim and brink of the brim (4 near the rim and 3 near the brink). Between the lines are 32 embossed flowers. On the centre of the plate there is a black transfer print of a man dying on a bed with 3 women and a man (------) around him crying and looking concerned. On the bottom of the transfer is "Death of Paul". There is a footring around the base. There is a black transfer print on the base that says "PAUL and IRGINIA"; the "V" is covered by the engraved manufacturer's mark. The mark is in the shape of a shield and says "STONE WARE J.T."Made/Created
