The bowls are made of white pottery with black transfer printing. The rim and brim of the bowls are slightly scalloped. The bowls have the Pagoda transfer print (997.70.18.1 for description) with the basket, flowers, and fruit to the right for 997.70.18.17-18 and to the left for 997.70.18.19-20.
Description of markings:
997.70.18.17 - In the middle of the pagoda mark on the base is a star (*) shape that is impressed and to the right of the pagoda mark is "39" printed in black.
997.70.18.18 - The pagoda mark on the base of the bowl has an impressed star (*) near its top.
997.70.18.19 - The pagoda mark is off-centred to the top-left with an impressed star (*) shape below it and an indistinguishable number to the lower-right of it (possibly 15?) that is printed in black.
997.70.18.20 - There is an impressed star shape (*) above the pagoda mark and "37" in black print above the pagoda mark near the footring.Made/Created
