Stereoscope made of metal and wood, the same model as artifact 996.25.1. The metal viewing hood has no engraved scrollwork in its outer surface, otherwise it is the same as 996.25.1
996.26.1b Card holder a wooden bar 17.5 x 1.9cm which slides along the wooden arm of the stereoscope. Two wire holders at each end of the bar hold the stereoscope cards. A metal (nickel or steel) plate is screwed to the underside of the bar with two brass screws, to hold the bar onto the arm of the stereoscope. Stamped into the metal of this plate is:
