The cup is a bowl-like shape with a slight outward curve at the top. The outside is fluted to the bottom ridge of the cup. The cup stands on approximately 1 cm of a base. All the images are red and white by transfer printing.
There are 2 main images; the first is a woman praying at a tombstone alter, outdoors, with the word FAITH on the alter and the letter INRI on the cross above it. There is a bible on the alter.
The second scene is a woman sitting on a shore bank with an anchor beside her. She is jestering to a ship on a lake to her right. The word HOPE is written on the bottom of the scene.
The hadle is a half-heart shape with a point at the top. The handle has a petal-like shape on it.
Inside the teacup is a border approximately 0.6 cm in width. This border is red with a copper ting when placed in light. About half way down the inside of the cup, there is a border approximately 1/10 cm wide.
The bottom is 5 cm wide including the lip of 3/10 cm on each side. The base stands approximately 1 cm high.Dimensions
