This flask-shaped aquamarine glass bottle was used for John A. McLaren's Perth Malt Whiskey. The factory was started in 1841 and was still going strong in 1878. The name, "John A. McLaren, Perth Malt Whiskey, Perth, Ontario". Is impressed within a moulded oval on the front of the bottle. The blue glass has air bubbles and imperfections. This particular bottle has been shattered in the shoulder area and reglued. One small piece of the shoulder is missing.
The circular despression in the bottom of the glass shows that it was mould blown and the pontil mark was ground smooth.Dimensions
