Danny Murtaugh Photo with Roberto Clemente - Photo of Danny Murtaugh and Roberto Clemente of the Pirates. Danny Murtaugh played 2nd base for the Phillies from 1941-1943 and in 1946. A Chester native, he is better known for managing the Pirates winning 2 World Series titles. He was inducted into the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame in 2018.
