An advertising notebook from the Brown Fence Company, marketing their Orange Banner Fence Posts. The small "Memorandum Book" featured an orange and blue theme with an illustration of a farm utilizing the fencing system, sold by Brown Fence Company in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The booklet is titled "Memorandum Book | Orange | Banner | Fence Posts | The Post with a Backbone" at the top, above the illustration of the farm and examples of the fence post system with end posts and corner posts. The bottom reads "For Sale By | Brown Fence Co. | Chattanooga, Tenn." The edges opposite of the spine are rounded.
The rear cover has an illustration of the Fence Post System in use, with a man using an orange driver to set the fence posts. The text reads "National Driver | for ORANGE BANNER | Steel Fence Posts | A Man or | Boy can Set | Posts With- | out help" above the illustrations. The text on the bottom reads "Orange Banner Posts can be easily | driven with an ordinary sledge | or our Post Driver. No laborious | digging of post holes. With the Driver | a man, without extra help, can easily | set many posts in a day in a perfect | alignment."
The interior pages are blank notebook pages. The interior front cover contains a description of the fence post system and reads "Made by American Steel & Wire Company" at the bottom along with a list of locations where the system can be purchased. The interior rear cover has a 1930 twelve month calendar and a 1931 six month calendar.Collection
