Black and white photograph mounted on textured cardstock featuring a washerwoman talking to a man partially in uniform at Camp Thomas. The woman, wearing a dark skirt and top with a straw boater-style hat, is facing a man wearing riding pants and a dark shirt and may be taking laundry from him. The photographer appears to be positioned inside of a tent and a number of tents can be seen in the background of the photograph. Circa 1898
"Negro washerwoman, Chickamauga Park Ga." is written in ink on the rear of the photograph. "Folding Pocket Kodak" appears embossed beneath the photograph, on the cardstock.
