A black and white photograph mounted on a cabinet card showing an enlisted soldier standing in front of a cannon. The 5th U.S. Artillery, Battery H Monument at Camp Thomas in the Chickamauga Battlefield can be seen at center, back. The man is wearing a dark uniform with a gun belt and is holding a rifle. The number "842" can be seen on the stock, written on the negative indicating it was likely part of a series and likely related to 2020.327.001. The card edge is lined with gold. The rear reads "Schmedling, Photographer, Chickamagua-Chattanooga National Military Park, P.O. Chattanooga, Tenn."
