Halftone postcard showing the interior performance space of the Soldiers' and Sailors' Memorial Auditorium. A grand piano sits at center in front of the stage and the drawn curtains. The original side windows can be seen at left as well as the original layout as the theater was before renovation. The postcard is titled "Interior Soldiers' And Sailors' Memorial Auditorium, Chattanooga, Tenn." Printed on the rear, at top left: "Interior Soldiers' And Sailors' Memorial Auditorium, Chattanooga, Tenn. Every point of excellence and advantage considered, this institution is recognized among the very finest in the country. It was erected as a lasting memorial to the heroes of the World War. It occupies one entire block. It cost about $1,000,000. Its main auditorium seats 5,500. Its stage can accomodate 500 people. It is the finishing touch that makes Chattanooga an ideal convention city. Six conventions can be in progress at the same time in this building without interfereing with each other. Grand opera in Chattanoog is held each season. The organ cost $55,000. No finer instrament cab be found anywhere. Chattanooga has the services of one of the highest paid organists in the world" A pre-printed message is printed in blue the note space for a Chattanooga booster to sign and send onward. It reads: "Greetings: - Chattanooga is well named "the Dynamo of Dixie." Its 400 factories produce more than 1500 diversified articles. The scenery is beautiful. Am enjoying visit. Sincerely"
