Doer Adams:-
I found your letters of September 7th and 12th on my return to the office today. Beg to advise that so far as I can see, the propositions you have outlined are all right. Also think the proposition you have made with Wenck is all right.
In regard to the rebate, beg to advise that it is our policy to bill all the syrup to the Philadelphia plant as though it were all shipped to that point, although the deliveries may be made to Coatesville or Bethlehem. In other words, that after Philadelphia, Coatesville and Bethlehem, combined, purchase 1666-2/3 gallons, the Philadelphia plant would get a royalty on all syrup used over that amount. Or I think the best policy of rebate for the Philadelphia plant would be for this company to bill the syrup direct to both the South Bethlehem and Coatesville plants, and make drafts on them covering same at the rate of $1.36 per gallon up to 1666-2/3 gallons used by each plant each year, and at the end of the year, allow the Philadelphia plant a rebate on all syrup used by S. Bethlehem up to 1666-2/3 gals. at the rate of 14 1/2¢ all syrup used gals. at the rate of 9¢ per gal. We will, of course, make the same rebate allowance on Coatesville, should you start a plant there.
I think from our conversation and this le .ter, you will understand how the matter is to be handled.
Yours very truly,
G. T. Hunter, President
