Description

Dream of Chattanooga, illustrated by Rudolph J. Shutting. A postcard with the front showing an illustration by Rudolph J. Shutting of an imagined extension of Broad Street in downtown Chattanooga. It wouldn't be until 1926 before the City of Chattanooga would force an extension of South Broad Street by demolishing buildings along 9th Street during the darkness of night. Several buildings are labeled, including the Read House, J. W. Kelly & Co., Citizen Bank & Trust, and Hotel Patten.
