Description

A halftone postcard for The Elizabeth Apartments, which once sat on the corner of McCallie Avenue and Georgia Avenue. The six story brick building had a rusticated base level and wide overhanging eaves. The postcard is labeled "11299 | THE ELIZABETH APARTMENTS, | McCallie Ave., Cor. Georgia Ave. | CHATTANOOGA, TENN." Handwritten at the top edge is "Am stopping here - Where you see the x-" with an x drawn over a window on a third floor apartment on the Georgia Avenue side. The handwritten note on the back reads "Sure was glad to hear from you - It seems a long time between letters , believe you have forgotten me - don't do it - Am real busy - Say hello to K. Will write you both soon. Katherine"
