Description

A black and white group photograph of Women's Auxiliary Army Corp on bleachers. The photograph, taken at Fort Oglethorpe, shows 11 rows of women, both enlisted and officers, wearing their summer uniforms. One woman in the sixth row is holding the corner of the company's flag, which has "23" and "7" beside a silhouette of Parris Athena. The three women in the front row are officers as indicated with their cap device. The rest of the women have cap devices of enlisted personnel. The women in the front row are identified with their names written in blue ink across their chest. The women in the front row (left to right) are [Glenn] Frame, Ramsome, and Swain. The women in the second row are Jacuzzo, Stipe, Stram, Hemmalin, Mustly, and Searles. Glenn Frame is identified as the commanding officer of the regiment. The photograph is labeled "Third Officer Glenn Frame Commanding Co. 7 23 Reg. Third W.A.A.C. Training Center Fort Oglethorpe, GA. July 10, 1943".
